Our Role
Reimagining Elder Care Through Connection, Community, Innovation and Purpose
The BAPU Foundation, a family-led and funded foundation established in 2024, is dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable and often overlooked elders receive the care, respect, and compassion they deserve. We’re reimagining elder care through a blend of empathy, innovation, and community support — promoting healthier, happier lives for seniors worldwide.
By 2100, the global population of individuals aged 65 and older is projected to reach 2.37 billion — nearly 27% of the world’s total. This demographic shift, combined with already strained healthcare systems, presents profound challenges that demand a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to elder care.
Addressing the Global Aging Crisis with Innovation and Compassion
Our holistic approach brings together key focus areas such as:
The BAPU Foundation supports elders who lack reliable family or institutional support, ensuring they are not left behind in the global shift toward an aging population. Our approach goes beyond traditional charity — based on research and our own experience we invest in sustainable, community-based care models and innovative technologies that respond to the evolving needs of seniors.
In today’s world — where hybrid and remote work are reshaping daily life — we see an opportunity to integrate elder care into healthier, more balanced ways of living.
By harnessing emerging technologies and flexible work structures, we can empower elders to remain engaged, contribute meaningfully to society, and ease pressure on overburdened care systems. Involving family members and local communities plays a pivotal role in ensuring that elders remain active, connected, and valued.
We envision a future where aging is not isolating — but empowering.
We believe that fostering intergenerational connection is key to building compassionate, resilient communities. By encouraging younger and older generations to learn from and enrich each other, we create environments where elders are not just cared for — but truly valued.
We call this “The Circle of Life” — an approach where elder care becomes a shared responsibility and a meaningful experience for all.

The BAPU Foundation operates globally, with a primary focus on India, Kenya, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
Our strategy is intentionally flexible — adapting to the unique cultural, economic, and healthcare realities of each region we serve. This tailored approach ensures that our mission is not only globally relevant, but deeply meaningful at the local level.
