What We Do Not Fund
Staying Focused
BAPU Foundation directs its resources towards work that clearly advances our charitable mission, aligns with our Strategic Focus Areas and benefits vulnerable and often overlooked older adults.
In general, the Foundation does not provide grants directly to individuals, except where this is explicitly permitted within a specific grant programme.
To maintain clarity, focus and integrity, we do not fund the following:
Organisations or projects operated primarily for commercial profit or personal financial gain.
Political parties, election campaigns, candidates or other party-political activities.
Except where explicitly permitted within a specific grant programme, we do not provide funding directly to individuals.
Activities whose primary purpose is worship, religious instruction, evangelism or conversion. Faith-based organisations may still be considered where the proposed work is charitable, inclusive and available without discrimination.
Proposals or organisations that lack a clear understanding of the need being addressed, a realistic implementation plan, appropriate governance, financial oversight, safeguarding arrangements or sufficient information to demonstrate accountability and responsible use of funds.
These guidelines help us remain true to our mission and ensure that our resources are used responsibly to create meaningful and lasting change for vulnerable and often overlooked older adults.
