Reaching Those Most in Need: Who We Support

BAPU Foundation prioritises older adults who face one or more forms of vulnerability and have limited access to the care, security, connection or support they need. We recognise that vulnerability can take many forms and that individual circumstances are often interconnected.

Older adults aged 65 and above who face increased vulnerability due to age-related health, social or economic challenges.

Self-Care Limitations

Older adults who need support with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation or medication management.

Frail & Without Reliable Care

Older adults living with frailty, poor physical or emotional health, or without consistent access to appropriate care, companionship or safety.

Limited Family, Community or Institutional Support

Older adults with limited access to reliable support from family, friends, community networks or formal care services.

Facing Financial Hardship

Older adults with limited or no income who are unable to access essential care, safe housing or other basic services.

Physical Access Barriers

Older adults who face mobility, transport or accessibility barriers when trying to reach healthcare and other essential services.
