Who We Partner With
BAPU Foundation works with organisations that combine strong local understanding with a clear commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable and often overlooked older adults.
We consider each potential partnership individually, taking into account the organisation, the proposed work, the local context and our available resources.
01
Charitable or Social Purpose
The organisation should have a clear charitable or social purpose and operate for public benefit.
02
Local Knowledge & Trust
The organisation should have relevant experience, understand the community it serves and have trusted relationships with older adults, families, caregivers or local stakeholders.
03
Appropriate Governance
The organisation should be able to demonstrate suitable leadership, decision-making, safeguarding and financial oversight.
04
Shared Values
The organisation should align with BAPU’s commitment to dignity, compassion, inclusion, integrity and partnership.
05
Clear Need & Practical Response
The proposed work should respond to an identifiable need and present a realistic, responsible way of addressing it.
06
Evidence & Learning
The organisation should be able to share credible evidence of its work and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve. This may include monitoring information, case examples, feedback, community references or formal evaluation.
07
Communication & Accountability
The organisation should be willing to communicate openly, provide proportionate updates and reflect honestly on progress and challenges.
08
Geographic Approach
BAPU Foundation has a global vision. At this stage, we develop partnerships selectively in locations where we have trusted relationships, relevant understanding and the ability to provide responsible oversight.
